U12 Reds vs Gt Yarmouth - LOSS

Our youngest squad returned to the cout after a month without games and played their hearts out. The score didn’t deter them from trying their hardest from start to finish and we were all so proud of them determination, teamwork and progression within the game.

U12s NBL vs MK Breakers II - 80:62 - WIN

A lovely showcase of the teamwork and sportsmanship we promote at Hoopstars, with an opposition parent taking the time to email in to say how lovely it was to play against our team.

U12 Blacks vs Beccles Bombers - 62:42 - WIN

An interesting game on a 3/4 court due to a leak where both teams didn’t let that put them off and played their hearts out. A second win in a row for this squad.

U16s NBL vs West Suffolk Wolves - 101:63 - WIN

A brilliant win for the squad who lead from the start and didn’t look back.

UEA Panthers Men I vs Cambridge Cats - 98:92 - LOSS

In an end-to-end game that went into overtime we were unable to take the win and look forward to return match.

UEA Panthers Women I vs Bromsgrove Bears - 70:46 - LOSS

An expereinced Bromsgrove squad proved too difficult to match in a tough game where we were missing some of the regular players. We are already looking forward to the home match to show what we are capable of.

We are excited to be planning the next round of camp days for during the Christmas holidays. The dates are below:

• Thursday 21st December - Y1 to Y6

• Friday 22nd December - Y7 to Y13

• Tuesday 2nd January - Y1 to Y6 - FULLY BOOKED

• Wednesday 3rd January - Y7 to Y13

Our camp days are a fun mixture of skills stations, mini competitions and always finish with a match. Attendees have the opportunity to win certificates and medals.

We are really pleased to partner up with BNHF and Active Norfolk to be able to provide free spaces, with lunch included, on the camp days for children eligible for free school meals

If your child isn’t eligible for a free space the fee is £30 per day and includes a free camp tshirt - what colour will they be this time?! We are also offering attendees the option of being provided lunch for a fee of £5.

Following the completion of Term 1 of our new and improved HBL, we have reflected on what has and hasn’t worked well and made some adjustments heading into Term 2.

Our Hoopstars Basketball League (HBL) is a great opportunity for our players to get some game time and is all about development and having fun. Even if your child has only attended 1 session they will love these tournaments so please go ahead and sign them up.

Our U9s and U11s age groups will continue in the league format, however we are hoping to increase the number of teams in U9s to utilise 2 across- courts running at the same time, with our fantastic youngest members. Our U11s will change to be a full court match for each team. Our U9s and U11s will receive a team t-shirt to wear for each tournament. The coaches will referee the games as they are coaching.

Our U13s & U15s/U18s will revert back to our previous version whereby we have 1 match a month with members signing up on a pay & play basis. We will have referees at these matches to ensure they run smoothly and allowing our coaches to focus on the teams. We won’t be providing team t-shirts as each tournement we will mix up the teams.

In the image below are the dates and times for all age groups as well as the location which will predominantly be at City Academy.

The fees are listed below:

U9s / U11s - £36 per term (we recomend players are available for at least 3 dates)

U13s & U15s/U18s - £7 per match
