It has been fantastic to see so many new faces at our hub sessions this last couple of weeks, as well as of our existing members. We are really enjoying getting back into the routine of weekly sessions and watching our members develop week on week. U12 NBL vs Cambridge Cats - WIN 57:38 A fantastic effort from our youngest NBL squad who played solidly, showcasing teamwork and sportsmanship, and played tough defence which didn’t allow the opposition to score in the last quarter. U16 NBL vs Cambridge Cats - LOSS - 68:17 A very strong and well established team at Cambridge Cats proved too tough for us to take on this weekend. Despite the loss the coaches and players remained positive following the game, due to the progression made and potential this squad has this season. UEA Panthers Men vs Ipswich - LOSS - 86:80 For the 3rd year in a row the men have faced the Ipswich men who are in the division above. Previous years have seen a 30 point loss but this year showcased how far this team have come. The game went down to the last seconds with Ipswich only just taking the win. Its going to be an exciting season for the UEA mens team. UEA Panthers Women vs ARU - CANCELLED U14 NBL vs Ipswich U14 - Loss 38:68 A loss that didnt feel like a loss. Our U14 squad faced an incredibly tough team from the premier division and were only down by 3 points at half time. Unfortunately we weren’t able to keep the momentum up in to second half against their 18 player squad. We are so proud of our players and coaches alike who showed the potential we have to compete with some of the best players in the country. U18 Norfolk League vs Beccles - LOSS - 65-35 Our U18 squad showed real improvement in the game and Coaches Honey & Ant said it was an amazing game to coach. We are so happy to know that players in this age group are finally getting the opportunity to compete locally and will continue to build on these foundations.
