A wonderful day for our U9s, U11s & U13s in our April HBL. We saw some new faces who all did so well alongside witnessing the progression of our regular HBLers! Below are the MVPs for each age group.

U12 Norfolk League vs Bury Bulldogs Loss

The final match of the season saw a slightly different squad take on the experienced and strong side of Bury Bulldogs. A slow start for the team meant an early lead for Bury but we didn’t lose our fight and kept going through to the final whistle. As always progression was shown from the start to the finish.

We are so proud to say that we finished 5th out of 7 teams which is a fantastic achievement when you consider that we were a very late entry into the league and have managed to field a full squad of players from our hubs. Despite no specific team training, the players have individually developed, as well as building on their team play across the season. We are excited for what the 2023/24 season holds for both this group of players and the u12 Norfolk League team, with them having a new dedicated weekly training session.

U12 NBL - Away vs Kings Lynn - 20:0 Forfeited WIN!

Our last remaining fixture for our U12 NBL team was forfeited this weekend by Kings Lynn giving us a 20 point win.

The team finished 8th out of 11 in the league - another fantastic achievement. The squad have shown such resiliance through a gruelling start to the season which saw them play 12 matches without a win…but the hard work, determination and dedication paid off and they finished the season winning 5 out of the 7 remaining matches.

The development this team have shown has been tremendous and a big thank you to all players, coaches, parents and supporters for making our first season in the U12 NBL so worthwhile.

A reminder that our sessions at AYLSHAM are still ON tomorrow and next Monday even though it is bank holiday.

Our sessions at CITY ACADEMY are NOT on for 2 weeks due to the bank holidays.

It won’t be long before the next half term holiday is upon us and we are expecting another fantastic week at camp. Below are the dates / age groups:

Tuesday 30th & Wednesday 31st May - Years 1 - 6

Thursday 1st and Friday 2nd June - Years 7 - 13

The camp days cost £30 per day per child and includes a free tshirt. The camp is at City Academy Norwich.

If you are unsure whether to register your child please drop us an email and we will offer guidance on this.

If you would like to sign your child up to trial for one of the performance teams please complete the form linked here by Monday 15th May. The fee for trials is £7 per player and will be due on Monday 15th May.

N.B. If you would like your child to trial but they are unable to attend this date please complete the form and the reason why in the notes section and we will make contact with you directly to discuss this.

N.B. We will continue to have opportunities for competitive matches for members outside of our performance teams such as HBL and NYBL.

We have been able to extend the tickets for our awards evening.

This event is open for anyone who is part of Hoopstars as well as their families and is an event for all ages. There will be a sit down buffet, games, a DJ. All members will receive a certificate .

We will be giving out some awards to members who attend our community hubs, Hoopz SEND session, Home Education sessionand our Performance teams (NBL, U12 Norfolk League & Women’s team).

Over the last couple of weeks / months at camp and HBL we have accumulated a number of lost property items. If you recognise any of the items below please email us here to let us know and we will arrange them to be return to you asap.

All items will be given to charity if not claimed by 14th May.
