A solid team performance from our team, who dominated from the start.

U12s NBL vs West Suffolk Wolves - 76:32 WIN

A comfortable win in a sporting match against a relatively new squad.

UEA Panthers Men I vs Chelmsford Charge - 108:103 LOSS

A slow start meant that despite a huge 4th quarter lead, the team couldn’t secure the win.

U12s Black vs Bury St Edmunds - 54:30 WIN

A strong game secured the first win of the season for our U12 Black team in the Norfolk League.

U16s NBL vs Cambridge Cats II - 90:74

A close game throughout, with our team pulling ahead in the 4th quarter resulting in a fantastic win. The atmosphere at City Academy would have rivalled a professional sports match!

An enjoyable match featuring members of the Hoopstars community on both teams. Sporting yet competitive at all times.

It was a fantastic weekend for the Hoopstars community and we have loved being surrounded by so many of our wonderful members, families and supporters. The values at the heart of Hoopstars are always shining through; we are always so proud.

We are excited to be planning the next round of camp days for during the Christmas holidays. The dates are below:

• Thursday 21st December - Y1 to Y6

• Friday 22nd December - Y7 to Y13

• Tuesday 2nd January - Y1 to Y6

• Wednesday 3rd January - Y7 to Y13

Our camp days are a fun mixture of skills stations, mini competitions and always finish with a match. Attendees have the opportunity to win certificates and medals.

We are really pleased to partner up with BNHF and Active Norfolk to be able to provide free spaces, with lunch included, on the camp days for children eligible for free school meals

If your child isn’t eligible for a free space the fee is £30 per day and includes a free camp tshirt - what colour will they be this time?! We are also offering attendees the option of being provided lunch for a fee of £5.

We are pleased to announce that we have a fixed date for our first ever Introducton to Coaching Level 1 Course which will be held on Saturday 30th December.

The course fee is £95.

Unfortunately we have had to make the very tough decision to increase our hub fees from January 2024.

This is not a decision we have taken lightly as we always keep our fees to an absolute minimum, however rising costs means that we have been left with no choice.

The fees will be £7 per session or £6 if paid half termly.

We will be sending out full emails for the next half term dates and fee amounts this week, so keep an eye out.

Following the success of the BBL finals trip to O2 last year we will be putting on another trip this year and the tickets are out already.

BBL Finals - London O2 - Sunday 19th May 2024

The tickets will include return coach travel from City Academy Norwich to O2 and entry to both the Womens & Men finals.

The day is always a lot of fun and the atmosphere is unreal! Almost as good as one of our home matches! A real treat to show our members what can be achieved playing basketball in England.

At this stage we would like an expression of interest of how many tickets you would like - no payment will be required yet.

We expect the prices to be similar to last year which were as below however we cannot confirm until we have an idea of numbers and so are subject to change:

• £52.50 - child ticket

• £62.50 - adult ticket
