U12s NBL vs Kings Lynn - 44:62 Loss

A fantastic performance from an ever-improving squad - the pressure was applied to a strong Kings Lynn squad and the progression being made is clear for everyone to see. Most certainly the teams strongest defensive performance so far.

U14s NBL vs West Suffolk Wolves - 68:51 WIn

Another solid win for the U14 squad - a real team effort with everyone contributing to the outcome; from great shooting, some really good defence and hussle from everyone through to the final whistle.

U12s Norfolk League vs Fakenham - 46:31

The players can be extremely proud of themselves for the performance against Fakenham, and claiming our first win in the Norfolk Regional League. From having 2 tough games against Beccles and Iceni, the players have really learnt and developed quickly, stepping up and thriving in a full game set up. We are very excited to see the team continue to grow during the season.

We know there have been multiple changes in dates / venues this season for this and below is the final version (fingers tightly crossed). We are really thankful for your patience and support; with it being our first league of this type we have been learning as we go as to what works in terms of timings for different ages (other sporting commitments etc) as well as what venues work best. We are confident that this will grow as the club does and are already in the planning stages of a summer term HBL to give our wonderful players even more game time (more to follow on that in due course).

U12s NBL Match - Saturday 14th January - Home vs Southend @ 12.40pm @ Sportspark.

U12s NBL Match - Sunday 15th January - Home vs Brentwood Fire 1@ 12.40pm @ Sportspark.

HBL - Sunday 15th January - Hellesdon High School

U13s - 12.30pm until 2.30pm

U15s - 2.45pm until 4.15pm

U18s - 4.30pm until 6pm

We know some of our members would love to train more often. We have spaces at most of our hub sessions so all of our members can attend any of our sessions - at any hub*. All we would ask is just to let us know so we can inform the relevant coaches and ensure we can plan sessions accordingly.

*Subject to available spaces at that hub which can be confrmed with us at HQ.

We thought it would be nice to share some details of some of the other sessions we run alonsgide our community hub or NBL sessions:

All Girls Sessions - Wednesday 6.30pm to 7.30pm @ Wymondham Leisure Centre.

Sue, Head of Wymondham Hub, runs a session for females in years 7 to 13 to try to encoruage more girls in to basketball. We have girls attend all of our hubs and we would really recomend any of them to consider this session as an add on. We are so pleased with the progression of the members in this session and can’t wait for what the future holds for the Hoopstars Girls teams.

Home Education - Thursday 1pm to 2.20pm @ Sportspark

This is a day time session for Norfolk’s Home Education community for ages 6 to 18 where they can learn skills and their understanding of the game of basketball.

Hoopz - Thursday 5pm to 6pm @ City Academy Norwich

This our SEND inclusive session that has been running for over 1 year now and is always growing. We have multiple coaches on hand to teach skills and shooting to our range of members from years 1 to 13. We ensure that each member’s individual needs are considered when working them.
