U12s NBL - Away vs Brentwood Fire II 71:45 WIN!!

Our U12 NBL team played away for their first win of the season; and what a win it was - an almost 30 point win!

We are all so proud of this team of players, coaches and parents who have faced some seriously tough competition this season and haven’t let it stop them. This win was so well deserved and shows that the training and commitment are well worth it.

U12s Norfolk League - Away vs Beccles 43:34 Win

The u12 Norfolk team made it 4 wins in a row, claiming a great team performance on the road to Beccles Bombers. Hoopstars showed again their individual, and team, development since previously being defeated by Bombers in the first game of the season by 15.

Ball movement, long range shooting and strong 1v1 defence were the themes of the win, which the team look to continue as they go into a top of the table clash with Norwich Eagles next Saturday at Sportspark.

HBL - Tournament 4 - U9s / U15s / U18s

Another fantastic day at HBL!

U9s was a change in format to a tournament with smaller teams and shorter games. It was great to see some more fantastic team work and play from our youngest group of players - its exciting to think what the future of Hoopstars looks like when you see these players on court!

U15s / U18s was 2 full matches with fantastic effort, energy and competitiveness. These games are always a great opportunity to see how well our players across our hubs can do when they come together.

U12s NBL - Saturday 11th February - Away vs Southend Scorpians @ 2pm

U12s Norfolk League - Saturday 11th February - Home vs Norwich Eagles @ 1.20pm

U14s NBL - Sunday 12th February - Home Vs Gt Yarmouth @ 3.20pm

U11s / U13s HBL - Sunday 12th February - Hellesdon High School:

U11s - 1pm tp 3.30pm

U13s - 3.45pm to 5.15pm

We are so excited to announce the full details of the first ever Hoopstars Awards Evening, which we promise will be a night of celebration and FUN!

This event is open for anyone who is part of Hoopstars as well as their families and is an event for all ages. There will be a sit down buffet, awards, games & a DJ.

So that we can plan for the event we would like everyone to confirm their ticket numbers by 28th February 2023.

With the success of our Hoopstars Women’s team who are doing really well in the local league, and with a renewed interest from a number of our parents we are going to be relaunching our adult basketball sessions.

These will run on a Sunday evening @ 6pm until 7.30pm at City Academy Norwich and will be for both men and women. These will be a mixture of skills, drills and game time, coached by Claire. The session fee will be £7 and the first session will be on Sunday 5th March.

These sessions will primarily be for people who have played basketball previously and are looking to get back into the sport.

In addition we will be looking at putting on some “Basketball for Beginners” sessions over the summer term for those that would like to give it a try but have had no previous experience.
