Hoopstars Summer Slam Camp

Wow what a summer we have had so far! We are in the last week of our Summer Slam Camp and it has been a blast. It has been so lovely to see so much development for the players we have had across the weeks… some old faces returning, some of our regulars as well as a lot of new faces!

After the tremendous success of our previous 3x3 series, we're back with an even bigger event, and this time, it's open to everyone including the public! Whether you're an aspiring young basketball talent or a seasoned player, come and showcase your skills on the court.

• Categories: U9, U11, U13, U15, U18, and NEW Adults category!

You have two exciting ways to participate:

• Create your dream team: Form a group of up to 4 players and compete together. Unleash your teamwork and show off your basketball prowess as a unified force!

• Individual sign-up: If you don't have a team, no worries! Register as an individual, and we'll place you in a team of fierce competitors. Make new friends and enjoy the thrill of team play.

We're also thrilled to share the exciting news that Sportfeels is once again generously sponsoring our upcoming 3x3 tournament. Their unwavering support in our 3x3 development is truly remarkable. We are really looking forward to get back to our hub sessions in September and have some changes to our sessions to announce.

Unfortunately we have closed our North Walsham hub but in its place we are opening 5 new hubs in Dereham, Attleborough, Framingham Earl, Wroxham and Long Sutton.

There are also a few day / time changes so please see below an updated list of our sessions:

• Attleborough - Saturdays - 9am to 11am - starting 9th Sept

• Aylsham - Mondays - 4pm to 7.30pm / Fridays - 5pm to 8pm - returning 4th Sept / 8th Sept.

• City Academy - Mondays - 4.30pm to 6.30pm - returning 4th Sept.

• Dereham - Wednesdays - 6pm to 8pm - starting 6th Sept.

• Easton - Wednesday - 6pm to 7pm - returning 6th Sept,

• Framingham Earl - Tuesday - 5pm to 6pm - starting 5th Sept.

• Hellesdon - Tuesday - 5pm to 6pm - returning 5th Sept

• Hethersett - Monday - 6pm to 8pm - returning 4th Sept.

• Loddon - Thursday - 6pm to 8pm - returning 7th Sept.

• Long Sutton - Friday - 5pm to 8pm - Starting 8th Sept.

A reminder that if your child wants to attend a hub session you need to confirm via email to us to register them (just once not every week) and if you would like them to any additional session, or move a session, please email us here.

We are re-launching an All Girls sessions at a new venue and are excited to build on what we’ve been working on with our All Girls days during the summer slam camp programme.

The sessions will be on a Monday @ Hellesdon High School with the sessions below:

• 6pm to 7pm - Years 1 - 6

• 7pm to 8pm - Years 7 - 13

We are so pleased to announce our All Girls coaching team will be Abbie Yorke and Mia Johannes.

The price per session will be £6 weekly or £5 per session if you pay half termly.

Get ready for an electrifying season of basketball action with our revamped Hoopstars Basketball League (HBL)!

This year, we're taking the game to the next level, enhancing the player experience and building an even stronger sense of team camaraderie. Here's a sneak peek into the new format:

Each term features 6 action-packed competition weeks per age group, giving players the perfect stage to showcase their skills and compete at their best. But that's not all – our players will be assigned to teams, sporting their vibrant team-colored T-shirts, and diving into the exhilaration of being part of a united squad for the entire term. Sticking together fosters a deep sense of belonging, allowing players to evolve, learn, and create lasting bonds.

Our age groups span U9, U11, U13, and U15 & U18, ensuring an exciting range of competition and fun for every skill level. We're doubling the thrill with two tournament terms, each featuring 6 epic tournament dates. The cost? Just £36 per term! Term 1 runs from September to December, and Term 2 from January to March.

The deadline for sign ups is Saturday 16th September - if you have already signed up we will be sending out confirmations in the next few days.

The HBL's goal is to give players at every Community Hub the chance to play, learn, and enjoy matches. From these tournaments, we'll select players for each age group to represent Norfolk Hoopstars in the Norfolk Youth Basketball League (NYBL).

We have gathered a lot of lost property over the last year and it has tripled over the summer. If any of the pictured items belongs to you please email us to claim it and we will ensure it gets returned. If items aren’t claimed by 15th September we will be giving to charity / disposing of items.
