Performance Programme Trials

Our recent performance trials were a massive success, with an incredible turnout of talented young players showcasing their skills and passion for basketball. The trials demonstrated the remarkable development of our program over the past year, thanks to initiatives like our community hubs, HBL, NYBL, and NBL.

Congratulations to those who secured a spot in the Hoopstars Performance Team for the 2023/2024 season! 🏀 Your hard work and dedication have paid off, and we can't wait to see you shine on the court.

For those who didn't make the squads, remember that this outcome doesn't define your basketball journey. 🙌 Keep pushing, stay committed, and never lose sight of your love for the game. Your potential is limitless!

Saturday 27th May - HBL - CANCELLED

We have made the difficult decision to cancel the HBL tournament this weekend for U9s and U11s due to the lack of sign ups.

Sunday 28th May - UEA Panthers Men @ Sportspark @ 6pm vs UEA Alumni

This is going to be quite a spectacle showcasing some amazing players from previous UEA Panthers squads as well as the existing team. A lot of our wonderful coaches will be playing and would love your support. Tickets are £2 payable on arrival.

The last few spaces are available for our brilliant half term camp days as below:

Tuesday 30th & Wednesday 31st May - Years 1 - 6

Thursday 1st and Friday 2nd June - Years 7 - 13

The camp days cost £30 per day per child and includes a free tshirt. The camp is at City Academy Norwich.

We have been progressing the plans for our Awards Evening and it is looking like its going to be an amazing evening. We are getting so excited and hope you all want to join us.

This event is open for anyone who is part of Hoopstars as well as their families and is an event for all ages. There will be a sit down buffet, games, a DJ. All members will receive a certificate .

We will be giving out some awards to members who attend our community hubs, Hoopz SEND session and our Performance teams (NBL, U12 Norfolk League & Women’s team).

A reminder that all that is needed at this stage is a £10 deposit per person.

Following the trials last week we wanted to remind our members what the pathway pyramid looks like for Norfolk Hoopstars. We have fantastic opportunities for all of our players to get gametime experience from our Hoopstars Basketball League (HBL) tournaments, our 3 x 3 tournament in July and our entry into the Norfolk Youth Basketball League (NYBL).
