As we are now in “off season” for basketball fixtures our newelstters will be a space for us to share updates on what events are happening, information on how to book in for these events, as well as other items such as a “for sale” section.

If anyone has any suggestions for what they would like to be included in the newsletters moving forward please email us here - we will review all of them and if we think they are suitable we will include them where we can.

A reminder we have our amazing 3x3 tournament scheduled for Sunday 16th June.

Timings are subject to alter slightly but a rough guidance is below:

• U9s - 10am until 11.30am

• U11s / U13s - 11.30am until 1.30pm

• U15s/U18s - 1.30pm until 3.30pm

• Adults - 3.30pm onwards

Players can sign up individually or as a team; teams must consist of a minimum of 3 players and a maximum of 4. For the youth tournaments only 1 Non-Hoopstars player per team is allowed. For the adults tournament non-Hoopstars players can enter without any Hoopstars members.

The tournament will be held at City Academy and the fee is £7 per player (not team).

Following on from the success of our last coaching course in December 2023 we are running another course on Sunday 14th July between 11am and 5pm.

The cost of the course is £95 and will be held at City Academy Norwich. Participants must be age 14 or older.

Our very own Claire Harper-Black will be running the course which will see participants develop skills to:

• Identify roles and responsibilities of a Head Coach and Assistant Coach.

• Create exceptional participant experiences.

• Understand basic game principles and core skills.

• Deliver safe, fun and relevant games.

• Gain confidence in coaching small groups.
