U14s NBL - Away vs West Suffolk Wolves 62:44 Win

“Another great weekend by the U14s! It’s such a shame that this week is our final competitive weekend in the NBL however what a beautiful end to the season. Facing a strong Norwich Eagles team the boys truly rallied and showed just how much they wanted to win the league. Although coming up short in the end by 6 points I think everyone in the room respected the high level of basketball played by both teams at U14s level. Truly a game everyone in Norwich will remember! Those 21 players who entered the court from both teams are the next generation!

Moving to today’s game which was a highly unusual game, nontheless the boys showed that although consistent on the offensive end… the better defensive team always prevails and as such another dominant performance by the team!

Thank you for everything this season parents! The drives, cold nights and tears… was all worth it in the end!”

Our U14’s have finished 3rd in the East 1 Conference National Basketball league… a great result in our first ever season. We are so proud of them all.

U9s & U11s HBL

Our final tournament of the season for these age groups was a fabulous display of skill, teamwork and fun from our increasing in number and ever developing squads. Some of our players have been at every tournament; some attended for the first time; all played amazingly.

Parents and coaches alll commented on what a fantastic showcase it was and how much progression we have seen over the last 6 months.

We are so proud of all of the players who participated in both age groups and a huge congratulations to our Tournament MVP’s.

U12s Norfolk League - Home Vs Fakenham Phoenix 41:42 Loss

What a fantastic end to end game! Unfortunately our u12 team fell to a 1 point defeat to Fakenham in an all round great display for Norfolk basketball.

The team battled back from being down by as many as 15 points and fought right to the final buzzer! Again the team showed vast progression, particularly on the defensive end!

Hoopstars Women - Away vs Iceni Saints 56:36 Win

A strong win to finish the weekend. The team are playing excellent basketball and showing what can be acheived when you work as a team. Some lovely sequences of passing, driving and shooting really showing the development of the squad.

Another huge thanks to our Hoopstars families who turned out on a Sunday night to come and support us. It means so much to us all!

We loved the opportunity to celebrate the fabulous female members of our club including players, coaches, table officials and supporters.

Our camps combine a mixture of skills stations, shooting games and game time and are always a LOT of fun.

We have some extra tickets available for the BBL playoff finals at the O2 on Sunday 14th May 2023.

This will be such a fun day with 2 matches - the womens final followed by the mens final. It is also a great showcase of the best of basketball in Britain and will provide a lot of inspiration to our members. We have been a couple of times and have always loved it.

Prices for the trip will be as below and will include the coach trip and entrance ticket:

Adults - £62.50

Children (up to 18) - £52.50

We have been able to extend the tickets for our awards evening.

This event is open for anyone who is part of Hoopstars as well as their families and is an event for all ages. There will be a sit down buffet, games, a DJ. All members will receive a certificate .

We will be giving out some awards to members who attend our community hubs, Hoopz SEND session, Home Education sessionand our Performance teams (NBL, U12 Norfolk League & Womens team).
